Interfaith Spirituality Series: Rabbi Jason van Leeuwen

On Wednesdays at 7:00 P.M. during Lent on Zoom we consider how our different faith partners practice turning toward life, our theme this Lent.

The desired outcome of the religious life is to turn toward the Life that is truest, most healing, and brings deliverance from the distractions and brokenness that pervades the unexamined life.

Our first session on March 3, 2021 featured Rabbi Jason van Leeuwen as our guest speaker. “Reb Jason” has served the Los Angeles Jewish community for over 20 years. Also a musician, Cantor, and hospice chaplain, Reb Jason has marched and gotten arrested advocating for hotel workers’ rights, founded and served as first president of an L.A. Neighborhood Council, and spearheaded an emergency shelter program for migrant workers on Long Island.
