An Important Message from The Reverend Judy Baldwin
My Dear Parishioners-
I am writing to say that the Sunday services at Holy Nativity will be cancelled for the next three weeks. The Sunday School and the office will also be closed. My decision is to act with an abundance of caution. I neither want my older parishioners to feel they need to try to attend, nor do I want anyone to feel guilty about choosing to avoid large gatherings. It is wise to stay at home.
If you use the internet, one option is to go onto your preferred provider (Internet Explorer, Safari, Google, Mozilla) to https://www.stpaulcathedral.org/connect/videos1. Note that there is no final “s” on paul). On Sunday morning at 10:30 they will Live Stream their Eucharist complete with choir. If you so choose, I see no reason not to have a small piece of bread and to consume it at the consecration. I can’t imagine that God’s grace is limited by distance. You can know that others of your friends from Holy Nativity, including your Rector, will be receiving with you.
It is with sadness that we have decided to limit our physical gatherings, but in line with recommendations from medical experts, we believe it is our duty to protect one another during the heat of this crisis. We will stay in touch, and your pastor is always available by phone, email and text for any pastoral concerns. Please let us know of any needs that may arise.
We all have a great love for our parish at Holy Nativity and all that we represent in our wider community and to one another. Know that God is with us as we walk through this time when little is known about the virus. We will be together in prayer and love, as we always are.
Rev. Judy Baldwin
