Saturday, February 13, 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.: A Musical Workshop featuring "Little Windows" DUET HARMONY SINGING WORKSHOP
Little Windows, after their Friday night concert of love songs at Holy Nativity, will be leading a workshop on Saturday, February 12, from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Mark and Julee will teach some of the specific techniques and nuances of duet singing. The workshop will develop skill in finding parts, exploring different types of harmony, blending voices, and building listening skills. They will teach how to adapt harmonies to different songs and various genres, such as Appalachian, Irish, Scottish, Gospel, and Traditional Country.
The class will focus on singing without instruments. This freedom from chordal structure will encourage experimentation with more diverse kinds of harmony. It is not necessary to read music as we will be learning by ear. Bring a partner, or find one in the class!
As always when you come onto the campus of Holy Nativity, bring just one can, bag, box that we can take to the Food Pantry LAX to support those less fortunate in this special time of need. "We CAN with one CAN." For more information, see www.holynativityparish.org.
